Southern Regional College (SRC) is set to serve up more opportunities for hospitality students with a £600,000 investment in a new training restaurant. The college hopes 'The Graduate' kitchen, launched by TV mentalist David Meade, will underpin its reputation by directly supporting major award-winning businesses, including Beannchor, Tayto NI, Linden Foods and Mourne Seafood. SRC boss Brian Doran said it will help ensure "the skills, knowledge and experience are always immediately available" to the wider industry and "reflects our vision to further expand our enviable links" with businesses. Chefs Barry Smyth of The Yellow Door and Alex Greene of Michelin-starred Deanes EIPIC also attended the opening. Belfast Telegraph
